Thank You to Care2 Petitionsite!

I recently received the following email from the Care2 Petitionsite. Rescuing birds is never-ending and it can wear down even the strongest person because there never seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel...there will always be another bird that needs a home. So this email touched my heart at a time when it needed some mending. One can only imagine how much this meant to me. Thank you all so indescribably much!

Petition: I think that sometimes a petition can just be a thank you. I just wanted to thank Irena and her site for helping and rescue birds. There are so many other links to Snowball the dancing Cockatoo on Youtube. Animals and humans are the same. That's all.

Threatened Blackbirds Get a Chance to Hatch

Snowball in Bird Talk Magazine

Snowball's research will be discussed in an upcoming issue of Bird Talk Magazine. A research paper which debuted on April 30, 2009 in Current Biology made news around the world which inspired an interview with Dr. Aniruddh Patel, lead scientist, of the Neurosciences Institute in San Diego, California.

Snowball Makes World News

Snowball, the prodigal parrot, has once again hit the airwaves. But this time it's the science side of Snowball that has everyone talking. Music has always been believed to be unique to humans. Thanks to Snowball and the scientists at the Neurosciences Institute in San Diego, California led by Dr. Ani Patel, that theory no longer flies - pun intended.
